LOCAL WORKING TABLE

KYOTO PROTOCOL - NEW CHALLENGE FOR CROATIAN FORESTRY

Within Carbon-Pro project Forest Research Institute (FRI) organized a Local Working Table titled "Kyoto Protocol – New Challenge for Croatian Forestry". The meeting was held on 3rd October 2007 in Croatian Forestry Society, Trg Mažuranića 11, Zagreb, Croatia.
In the efforts to present the audience with most up-to date knowledge and perspectives of Kyoto Protocol implementation in Croatia with emphasis on forestry, FRI involved policymakers and experts form different institutions. Different views on various Kyoto protocol issues were presented by the representatives of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management (Mr. T. Kružić), Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction (Mr S. Ozimec) and EKONERG Institute (Mr D. Vešligaj and Mr. V. Jelavić), following by the presentation of the Carbon-Pro project aims and results by the FRI's representatives (Ms D. Vuletić, Mr. E. Paladinić and Mr. H. Marjanović).
